Pi Network (PI) Mining Step by Step Guide
Pi Network (PI) cryptocurrency is the first social coin that you can
mine on your phone. It was launched as a beta version on Pi day, March
14, 2019, by Stanford grads, Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis, Dr. Chengdiao Fan,
Vincent McPhillips, and Aurelien Schiltz.
We made a guide with some simple Pi
mining steps that will make you a Pi Network miner.
Step 2. Sign up with Facebook or phone number.
You can choose to sign up either with facebook account or mobile number. Make sure to provide valid information as you need to either login or be able to access these accounts or numbers in order to get hold of your mined tokens when the mainnet is launched.
Step 3. Set up your password (for sign up with mobile number)
Step 4. Complete the fields with your name and unique username, then click submit.
Step 5. Enter the invitation code.
All you need is an
invitation from an existing trusted member on the network.
If you do not have the invitation code, you can use the code: Nnoonnyy
Step 6. Congratulations, you have just signed up.
Click 【GET STARTED】and then tap the lightning icon on the right to start mining. After that, you can start a tour of the Pi Network mobile app by clicking on the【START TOUR】
The mining period is 24 hours (to prove that you are a real person, not a bot). You can set an alarm clock to remind yourself to open the APP at a fixed time every day and then tap the lightning icon to start the next cycle of mining. Otherwise, the APP will automatically stop mining.
Step 7. Now you are ready to mine PI. After signing up, every user receives 1 PI.
Introduction to some features of the APP page

Chat icon: You can add chat channel in different languages

Shield Icon: This represents the security circle you built. The security circle function requires you to mine for 3 days to unlock. At that time, the interface will pop up to tell you whether to build a security circle.

Portrait Icon: This represents your mining team. The picture shows that the team has a total of 15 people, 8 of whom mine normally, and 7 others stop mining. Then the seven people who stop mining need to click the lightning icon again. You can use your username as an invitation code to invite more people to join your team.

Lightning Icon: If the lightning color is green, the mining is normal. 0.59 represents the number of coins mined per hour. This lightning icon needs to be tapped every 24 hours. After 24 hours, the interface will remind you to click on the lightning icon to continue mining.

The number in the middle of the top of the picture is 5299.5966 π, which indicates the total amount of currency currently being mined by this account.
The system provides the following ranks:
- Pioneer. This is the initial level for all users.
- Contributor. To unlock this level, it is enough to mine cryptocurrency for three days.
- Ambassador. This rank is for users who invite other participants to join the Pi Network.
- Node. Those participants who have connected additional hardware to the network.
Final Thoughts
Pi network coin is a new social cryptocurrency that is protected and
supported by everyday people. Developed by a team of PhD and graduates
from Stanford University, Pi can be easily mined on smartphones without
any expensive devices, or battery consumption. The main idea is to
create an inclusive online ecosystem, where ordinary people can mine
digital coins.
To sum up, there are important advantages:
- Simplicity. A user who has never heard of Bitcoin before can mine and use cryptocurrency;
- Availability. The number of mined coins does not depend on the power of the device, the mining process does not require a complex device;
- Fair earnings. Users who participate in the development of the platform are rewarded.
For sure, Pi Network is a great experiment in the world of digital money. If the Pi team keeps developing the project, it will be a great evolution in the crypto sphere.
