KYC Update: Additional Liveness Checks to Help Process Pioneers’ Tentative KYC!

Multiple new KYC liveness checks will pop up in the Pi mining app for Pioneers to resolve their tentative KYC. They:
- Will be rolled out progressively to all applicable Pioneers in the coming month and directly after mining for Pioneers’ convenience
- Will include new face angle checks which is also required for new KYC applicants from now on.
- And will provide additional validations for the account holder’s identity which improves account security and helps Pioneers resolve their tentative KYC status.
If you have a tentative KYC status, make sure you take these short liveness checks that pop up in your mining app to unblock yourself in the KYC and migration process. Watch the video to learn more.
Depending on the specific KYC application, the number of such additional liveness checks and the time in between each check are not deterministic and vary from person to person. Data collected from the multiple liveness checks will assist KYC application analysis in the required extra checks to resolve Pioneers’ tentative status.
These new features releases are meant to facilitate the community to accelerate their progress towards the Open Network KYC goal.
